In response to the London version of the Catch Your Breath exhibition, two RCP fellows, Nigel Cooke and Noel Snell decided to write an accompanying booklet.
The booklet, entitled ‘Breath and Breathing’ takes an in-depth look at the processes involved in breathing, and the difficulties faced by those who experience breathlessness.
It begins by looking at the science of respiration and how it can go wrong, before moving on to considering how breathlessness can be diagnosed and treated. It then picks up on the exhibition themes of smoking, air pollution and TB. It closes with a section on plants which have been traditionally used to treat breathing problems.
Although printed versions of this booklet were available, they have now all been distributed. However, the full booklet can still be downloaded using the link below.
